While driving through Prince George, we smell the forest fires throughout the camper. We head to a campground that had received poor reviews on TripAdvisor, which, in the end, doesn't match our experience at all. Yes, it's not a natural campsite in a dense forest, but the staff is friendly, we have full hook-ups, and we can do our laundry. So, we are completely happy. The campground owners inform us that there have been a lot of bears on the campground recently, causing children not to play freely in the playgrounds and the trash bins to be locked not only at night but even during the day. Quite peculiar... no bears in sight for us!
