Elk Falls Provincial Park

We drive for 3.5 hours to our campground halfway across the island near Campbell River. After parking, we grab two beers and hear a sound behind the RV by the stream... we see a beautiful bear about ~6 meters away, and he's just as startled by us as we are by him! Then we realize that there are at least 4 black bears fishing for salmon right next to our camper the entire evening!! While the white-headed eagles fly above us and the sky is clear enough to see the Milky Way! Amazing! It can bring tears to my eyes! What an incredible experience! Such beautiful animals and the natural setting is just breathtaking! Wow, wow, wow! In the evening, we gaze at the Milky Way and hear the splashing of these amazing salmon hunters all night long!
